Cloudbay Solutions Highlights the Future of Hospitality Through Digital Transformation

Cloudbay Solutions was honoured to participate in the inaugural National Tourism Human Resource Forum organised by the Tourism Department of Seychelles, an important national initiative aimed at strengthening and shaping the future of the country’s tourism workforce.

Held at Club Med Seychelles on Sainte Anne Island, the forum brought together representatives from government institutions, the private sector, educational bodies, labour organisations, and young professionals to engage in meaningful discussions surrounding workforce development, employee retention, training, and the long-term sustainability of the tourism industry in Seychelles.

As part of the event, Cloudbay Solutions’ General Manager, Cyril Simeon, was invited to contribute as a guest speaker and industry representative. During the forum, he delivered a presentation focused on the future of the hospitality sector through the adoption of digital tools, modern Human Resource technologies, and Artificial Intelligence (AI).

The presentation explored how hospitality businesses can leverage digital transformation to better manage human resources, improve operational efficiency, enhance employee engagement, and make more informed strategic decisions through real-time data collection and analysis. Particular emphasis was placed on the importance of technology-driven HR solutions in helping organisations better understand workforce trends, staff performance, employee satisfaction, and retention challenges.

Mr. Simeon also highlighted how AI-powered systems can support the tourism industry by automating repetitive administrative tasks, improving workforce planning, identifying training needs, and creating more personalised employee development pathways. The presentation reinforced the idea that technology should not replace the human element within hospitality, but rather empower organisations to build stronger, more resilient, and more people-centred workplaces.

The forum addressed several pressing workforce challenges currently facing the tourism sector, including shortages of qualified staff, difficulties in retaining employees, misconceptions surrounding careers in hospitality, and the need to create more supportive and inclusive work environments. Discussions also focused on the importance of investing in youth development, practical training opportunities, and stronger collaboration between industry stakeholders.
